What I’m Reading
I thought it would be a fun idea to tell you about the books that i am reading from month to month. This month I read Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage.
This is author Zoje Stage’s first novel and let me tell you, I was hooked! I read this book in one weekend, I just could not put it down!
She’s the sweet-but-silent angel in the adoring eyes of her Daddy. He’s the only person who understands her, and all Hanna wants is to live happily ever after with him. But Mommy stands in her way, and she’ll try any trick she can think of to get rid of her. Ideally for good.
She loves her daughter, really, but after years of expulsions and strained home schooling, her precarious health and sanity are weakening day by day. As Hanna’s tricks become increasingly sophisticated, and Suzette’s husband remains blind to the failing family dynamics, Suzette starts to fear that there’s something seriously wrong, and that maybe home isn’t the best place for their baby girl after all.
I will do a more in depth review of this book later in the month so stay tuned for that.
Pick up your copy of Baby Teeth, find a comfy reading spot and celebrate National Book Lovers Day with me on August 9th.
Following along that lines of books that I love is The Meg series by Steve Alten. It has been made into a major motion picture which will be released on August 10th. I am beyond excited for this one guys!! The books were amazing and the movie looks crazy!! Take a look for yourself
I don’t know about you but I think I’ll stay on dry land after seeing this movie, how about you? What movie(s) are you looking forward ton this month?
My wonderfully awesome husband turns 51 this month!!! He wants steak sandwiches for his birthday dinner, so that’s what he is going to get. I’ll share the recipe for my yummy steak sandwiches with peppers, onions and muchrooms with you in a later post. It’s the simplest and most versatile recipe never! You can save the leftovers for fajitas or to incorporate into a hearty pasta sauce.
Well, that is all I have for you this month! Thank you for stopping by and if you enjoyed this post please share with your friends.
